Honors Program Admissions Criteria
The University Honors Center has a separate admissions process from the University as a whole. The criteria for admittance into the University Honors Center depend on a student’s classification and enrollment status.
Admissions Criteria

First Time in College
- High school seniors with a minimum GPA of 3.50 on a 4.0 scale, and 1200 on the SAT or 27 on the ACT are invited to apply for admission to the University Honors Center.
- In order to remain in the center, students must maintain a 3.0 GPA.

Current & Transfer Students
- Continuing college and transfer students, and community college graduates with AA degrees with a strong academic background and a minimum GPA of 3.20 on a 4.0 scale may also apply for admission to the University Honors Center.

The latest point at which students may apply for admissions to the center is the first semester of their junior year.

The application requires responses for two writing prompts, high school transcript, ACT/SAT score, and two letters of recommendation.
