OVERVIEW
The College of Agriculture and Food Sciences (CAFS) is one of the world’s leading institutions of its kind. Since its establishment, CAFS has evolved and continues to do so to meet the ever-changing needs of the food and agricultural industries. Our academic programs provide students with firsthand knowledge of the many facets in which the study of agriculture and food science encompasses, equipping them with the capabilities to tackle and eventually provide solutions to the challenges of the 21st century worldwide as it relates to global food security and fighting world hunger.

- The Brooksville Agricultural Research and Environmental Station (BAERS) was successful in securing $1.6 million in Florida Legislative Support (LBR) for its research and extension programs in 2021-2022.

OVERVIEW
The Florida A&M University School of Business and Industry (SBI) faculty produce peer-reviewed research publications in the core areas of economics, financial modeling, marketing research, business education pedagogy and assessment. The SBI faculty’s core areas of community outreach are economic development, financial literacy and wellness, and entrepreneurship. SBI students perform well in national case competitions, marketing/branding projects, and supply chain management projects. OVERVIEW
The School of Allied Health Sciences (SOAHS) is one of three health professional schools at Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University (FAMU). The school was established to recognize the need to provide access to quality education in a group of rapidly growing health professions. The school has six divisions: Cardiopulmonary Science, Health Care Management, Health Informatics and Information Management, Health Science General, Health Science - Pre-Occupational Therapy, Health Science - Pre-Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, and Physical Therapy. Since its start in 1982, SOAHS has experienced continuous involvement in education, practice, and research that has contributed to the strong reputation of each academic division within the school. Its respective accrediting body accredits each division. Overall, FAMU ranks as the number one producer of African-American allied health professionals in Florida. SOAHS has successfully attracted substantial extramural funding. It has received over $4 million from the Department of Health and Human Services to support programs designed to increase minorities and other underrepresented persons in the allied health professions.

OVERVIEW
The FAMU School of Architecture and Engineering Technology (SAET) is a professional school with accredited STEM degrees in architecture, construction engineering technology, electronic engineering technology, and facilities management. The school offers undergraduate degrees in architecture, construction engineering technology, and electronic engineering technology and graduate degrees in architecture and facilities management. The SAET illustrates how creative problem-solving is central to STEM teaching, research, and service.
The school is proud of its ability to provide affordable access to STEM education while serving as a national resource in awarding degrees to African-American students in our four areas. In 2015, Diverse Issue in Higher Education ranked FAMU #1 in awarding African-American students undergraduate degrees in architecture and #1 in awarding African-American students graduate degrees in architecture. The school is also proud of its ability to secure external funding. The SAET students were awarded federally funded research fellowships for three consecutive years, and the faculty secured over 2 million in external research funding in the last two years.

OVERVIEW
The School of Journalism & Graphic Communication (SJGC) at Florida A&M
University is one of the leading HBCU journalism and mass communications
programs in the country. Founded in 1982, it is the first program of its kind at a
historically black university to receive national accreditation. With a focus on
academic excellence and experiential learning, SJGC is preparing students to
be confident communicators and leaders who can meet the demands of a
competitive and evolving media marketplace.
SJGC students have received numerous journalism, public relations, and
graphic design awards and recognitions for over two decades from organizations such
as the Associated Press, the National Association of Black Journalists, the Southeast
Journalism Conference, the Society of Professional Journalists, Florida Associated
Press Broadcasters, Academy of Television Arts and Sciences College Awards, William
Randolph Hearst Medallion and the American Advertising Federation, to name a few.

- SJGC received a $30,000 grant from the DOw Jones News Fund to host the first Dow Jones News Fund HBCU Digital Media Institute in 2020.
- SJGC graphic communications students won a National Student SIlver American Advertising Award (ADDY) in the "Mobile or Web Based" category for a Temperature Check App.
- SJGC Graphic Communication Division Director was named a 2022-2023 Fulbright Scholar.
- The Princeton Review ranked WANM (FM) 90.5 among the nation's best and rated the station second nationally as a Great College Radio Station.

OVERVIEW
The College of Law was originally established on December 21, 1949 at the Florida A&M College in Tallahassee, FL. After its doors were closed in 1968, the 2000 Florida Legislature unanimously passed legislation establishing a law school at Florida A&M University, and on June 14, 2000, Governor Jeb Bush signed the bill into law. The reestablished law school admitted its first class in the fall of 2002 in Orlando, Florida and since then has produced more than 2,500 graduates who are lawyers and leaders; 1,600 minority graduates; 1,600 licensed attorneys in Florida; 1,000 licensed minority attorneys in Florida; and 11 sitting judges in Florida, Georgia, and Missouri.

- Juris Doctor degree enrollment for the 2022-2023 academic year included 362 total students, with 264 (72 percent) identifying as a person of color. Enrollment further included 43 percent identifying as African-American, 25 percent as Hispanic (of any race), and 25 percent as White.
- The College of Law hosted “The American Dream Belongs to All of Us” Symposium organized by the FAMU Law Review and the Hispanic American Law Students Association in February 2023. The event attracted scholars from across the country and provided meaningful discussions of traditional and contemporary civil rights issues.

OVERVIEW
The School of Nursing (SON) creates a student-centered environment where knowledgeable, innovative, caring nurses can apply high-quality, culturally appropriate care to meet the health needs of the residents of the state, the nation, and the global community. FAMU offers a Bachelor of Science (BSN) in Nursing, an online RN-BSN, and an online Master of Science in Nursing (MSN) with two tracks: Adult-Gerontology Primary Care Nurse Practitioner (AGPCNP) and Women’s Health Nurse Practitioner (WHNP).

- The new state-of-the-art simulation center bridges the gap between theory and clinical practice through immersive, procedural, and mixed reality (virtual and augmented) simulations and emphasizes evidence-based practice to cultivate future clinicians that identify patient safety as their ultimate priority.

- FAMU School of Nursing produces more than 80 bachelor’s and master’s level nursing graduates each year with most BSN and MSN students obtaining their first jobs post-graduation in Florida.
- FAMU School of Nursing was successful in securing over $50,000 in faculty research grants from 2020-2023. Additionally, Pipeline scholarship grants exceeded 2.5M from 2022-2024.

- The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering earned a Bronze award and Exemplar status from the American Society of Engineering Education (ASEE) in the inaugural year of the ASEE Diversity Recognition Program.
- The FAMU-FSU College of Engineering has been widely hailed for taking the initiative to create programs to align academic curriculum with industry needs.
- We offer Bachelor of Science (B.S.) programs in chemical, civil, computer, electrical, industrial, biomedical and mechanical engineering as well as M.S. and Ph.D. programs. We have attracted an outstanding faculty from all over the world. Our graduates are a diverse group of engineers from many races, ethnicities and nationalities.
- The college’s racial, ethnic and gender diversity exemplifies the future engineering and high-tech workforce to a degree not found at most other engineering schools. Employers value our graduates for their engineering skill set and the soft skills that make them better employees to work in culturally diverse, modern teams.
PAST PERFORMANCE
Our students and faculty have achieved many notable milestones, including these from recent years:
- Dozens of early career faculty grants including YIP, NSF CAREER, DARPA
- Generating the highest total proportion of annual patent applications at either FAMU or FSU
- Several NSF Graduate Research Fellows
- Multiple faculty inducted into the National Academy of Inventors and American Association for the Advancement of Science
- 11% undergraduate enrollment increase over past four years
- Masters enrollment increased by 85% since 2018
- Ph.D. enrollment has increased by 30% over past five years
- Both the research expenditures and the value of contracts and grants in FY2022 are the highest on record
