The FAMU On-Campus Pharmacy, operated by the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences, offers the campus community a comprehensive array of healthcare services. From prescription and over-the-counter medications, health and beauty products, medical consultations, in-class presentations, and more.

The Student Health Service Pharmacy is operated by the College of Pharmacy and Pharmaceutical Sciences.

Students may obtain prescriptions and over-the-counter medications as well as various health and beauty aids.

The pharmacy staff provides excellent patient education and consultations to assist you in your health care decisions. 

Our Fang-tastic Prescription Pit-Stop

  • The FAMU pharmacy carries the most common prescription medications and contraceptives.

    Students can enjoy discounted prices for prescriptions filled at the university pharmacy, whether the prescriptions are written by 'FAMU Student Health Services' or other community providers.

    Students can also request prescription transfers from their hometown pharmacy or have prescriptions called in by their private physician for added convenience.

    The pharmacy also carries many over-the-counter products and health and beauty aids, including but not limited to:

    » bath and beauty products,

    » condoms,

    » diabetic supplies,

    » pain medications,

    » sports cream,

    » toothpaste, and

    » vitamins.

  • III. Payment & Insurance

    Payment for Prescriptions:

    Currently enrolled students do not have to pay for medications at the time the prescription is filled. Pharmacy charges are applied to the student account.

    Insurance:

    The FAMU Pharmacy does not accept insurances at this time. Pharmacy staff will complete claim forms presented by students so they may receive reimbursement from their insurance carrier.
